MINERALS OF COMPANY

FERRO CHROMIUM
Mineral Name:
Mineral Detail:

MINERALS FERRO CHROMIUM Ferrochrome (FeCr) is an alloy of chromium and iron containing between 50% and 70% chromium. The ferrochrome is produced by electric arc melting of chromite, an iron magnesium chromium oxide and the most important chromium ore. Most of the world's ferrochrome is produced in South Africa, Kazakhstan and India, which have large domestic chromite resources. Increasing amounts are coming from Russia and China. The production of steel is the largest consumer of ferrochrome, especially the production of stainless steel with chromium content of 10 to 20% is the main application of ferrochrome.

PERLITE
Mineral Name:
Mineral Detail:

MINERALS PERLITE Is used in a number of different situations. The majority of perlite is used in construction products, mainly ceiling tiles and roof insulation products, but also as refractory bricks (a refractory brick is a brick designed to withstand very high temperatures), pipe insulation, and filling in masonry block construction. For example, loose perlite is poured into holes in concrete blocks after they are laid in place to improve the insulating quality of the construction. Perlite is also used as an insulator in other ways in the construction of buildings. It reduces noise and, since it is non-combustible, it also improves the fire resistance of different construction components in buildings.

CHROMIUM ORES
Mineral Name:
Mineral Detail:

MINERALS CHROMIUM ORES Chromium is a metalic element. Because it is very hard and has a melt ing point of 1857 °C, it is used to increase the hardness of metals and in the manufacturing of armoured vehi cles. It is quarried in Erzurum, Adana, Elazığ, Mugla, Bursa and Eskişehir.
